if its wide, you gotta exchange it

if its long, you gotta use the tensioner pulley to get rid of the slack

Make sure you have it wrapped around the tensioner, the slack should come out when you rotate it a couple of times.

yeah. make sure you start on the correct side and work your way around the motor. i forget which side you start on. i believe you start at the cams and work your way counter clock-wise.

after you get it thru where it needs to go, tighten the tensioner pulley and rotate the crank pulley 3 full turns of the motor ti'll its TDC again.

and make sure the motor is in fact at TDC. first time i did it, i was 180 degrees off. good thing my buddy pointed it out. from your pic, it doesnt even look like you set the motor before installing the new timing belt

mine is a gator-back. made from goodyear. im not worried..
just make sure its for your car. you'll be fine.
