Valve Cover Paint

Why so serious?
Im thinking about replacing my stock valve cover with something a lil prettier, but most valve covers i see on the net are pretty pricey.

couldnt i just spray paint the cover myself? and what kind of paint should i use?

I was gonna do the same thing myself. You can get it powder coated but thats pretty pricey too. I would use high-temp paint. They sell it at autozone bretty cheap, have a few colors to chose from too.

i painted mine with duplicolor spray can paint. you dont need high temp paint just as long as you strip the oe wrinkle paint, scuff it with sand paper, and clean it with some rubbing alcohol. clearcoat it tho, itll keep it clean...
