My PC runs gta v pretty well, but games like Witcher 3 require more memory.

Even witcher 2 can max out the 3gb on my card.

Buuuuuuut, I don't really want to upgrade right now.

Aren't consoles preset to keep a stabilize FPS of 30? Playing Fallout at 60 FPS makes a world of difference compared to 30 FPS.

pretty much, it's the only way it's feasible for them to keep their hardware "relevant" for as long as they can.

60FPS isn't everything. Console is like Mac and PC is like android.

Consoles just work, no worries of upgrading RAM, cpu, motherboard, card, cooling, etc....

And it's a shit ton smaller and more compact.

Edit: and fallout 4 is boring as shit. Spend more time in loading screens and running from A/B than actually doing anything else.

I did play the shit out of it but got tired of the drawbacks.

My plan was to build a nice editing machine for 4k capability. Ended up with a monster....#broke but I am 4k footage ready and VR ready. Now I need to find a cheaper acer x34 monitor from somewhere.

Building another one for fun:

Rocking the following items:
-first gen I5 750 w/ the stock CPU cooler.
-EVGA LGA775 socket p55 board
-Crossfired ASUS HD 7770 OC GHZ (x2)
-8gb of generic ram that will be run in a 4x2gb configuration on both dual channels.

I have on the way a:
-RAIDMAX Scorpio 535W semi-modular PSU
-Kingston V400 240gb SSD
-WD Blue 1TB @ 7200RPM HDD
-DIYPC P48-W case

Ignore the 2.5" HDD and LEPA PSU as I won't be using them. Heard a lot of bad things and don't want to risk using the LEPA.

Recent build nothing special:
DIYPC P48-W Case
WD Caviar Blue 1TB @ 7200 RPM HDD
KINGSTON V400 240GB SSD
EVGA P55 MOBO
Intel I5 750
x4 2GB generic DDR3 RAM (probably around 1333mhz)
Crossfired ASUS HD 7770 OC GHZ edition (x2)
Raidmax Scorpio 535W 80+Bronze PSU.
Ended up taking out the disk drive since the case cables are a bit short otherwise. Also move the v400 to a side mount since it was in the way of my 6pin PCI-e connectors.

I'm only planning to upgrade my PC, but for now, it runs games like cs go pretty well, so that's enough for me. I save money from selling skins, and recently, I even managed to sell neon revolution for a pretty good price, so I hope it won't take me long because I feel like I might upgrade my computer this summer already.
