1998 acura integra ls

my car wont idle unless igive it gas , it runs good goin don the road soon as i come to a stop the motor dies. what is wrong?

im not a mechanic but could be the tps sensor :lol:
due idle problems
sometimes throttle body just needs to be cleaned with a 10 bucks throttle body cleaner

^^^ x2 he's right, I have a buddy that has the same problem it ildes really low almost like if it off but u give it gas and it shoots back up. Or you might have to replace the sensor

ya the tps sensor will do that its a easy and cheap fix

or tighten up the throttle cable under the hood. in my wife's 4runner, i thought it was dieing because of an old fuel filter, changed it out, still died. tightened the throttle cable, FIXED!! :rolf:

Clean the throttle body cus if its not the problem it wont hurt either. Actually take the throttle body off though don't follow the instructions on the can. They say to run the car with the intake pipe off and spray shit into your throttle body. I think thats a no no! Also get a new throttle body gasket while your at it!
