usdm b18c1 OBD2 swap to jsdm b18c OBD2 what all do i need to change

Do i need a diff ecu and harness or will i need to change that and the vtec solenoid can i just put the one i have on my old b18c1 on and any other info i should know thanks

Wiring harness should work. It depends on which obd2 you have. There was two versions of obd2. What year car what year motors?

The vtec solenoid will work.

As for the ecu, idealy you'll want the jdm one cause it has several sensors deleted, so your usdm ecu might throw codes and have some issues related to limp mode. Also, if your jdm b18c isbthe type r version you'll want the jdm type r ecu for sure. The usdm gsr one will run like crap and cause damage.

99 civic with hondata ecu now. the motor not sure i just got the car motor was already in it. only reason im thinking jdm is thats all i can find online

If you have a hondata you'll need to retune it for the jdm motor. Then you'll be ok.

i unpluged the ecu and i think its obd2b does it make a diff what year the motor is to replace or does it have to be 2000 b18c or newer
