Building B18C1 advice

Hey guys, the motor in my GS-R has finally bit the dust. It's all stock and suffered from major compression loss in cylinders 2 and 3. She's in the shop getting the motor pulled and rebuilt right now. I was thinking it would be the perfect time to do a little upgrade so I wanted to ask you guys, along with my mechanic, what you think I should do. I know for sure that I don't want anything crazy, just simple upgrades while it's in pieces.

This is what I had in mind:
-GS-R block
-B16 pistons on stock GS-R rods
-Stock GS-R head
-Mild stage 1 cam (Skunk-2, Blox, etc.)
-Conservative tune

You guys think that would be a reliable setup? Are those upgrades worth the small amount of HP that will be gained? Would you go another route? Again, I'm not looking to shatter any all motor HP records, just want to give it a little more pep.

Lower is better
Skunk2 cams alone will you give more hp...

I'm thinking of going the same route but with lager pistons...
and for your other question, yes that build seems very reliable

VTEC MANIAC!
if staying N/A go higher compression pistons like 11.5 or 12 and uprated steel HG. while motor is apart put a block guard in to protect the engine, as it seems it will be driven harder due to demand of power upgrades ;)
