Will an OEM JDM DC2 Type R cluster work in my 1998 DC2 GS

As title states. Need a new cluster, will an OEM JDM DC2 Type R cluster work in my 1998 DC2 GS without any modifications? Thanks!

yes, make sure its the OBD2 model. if anything the internals are interchangable.

Will the tachometer/speedometer/odometer assembly inside the type R cluster work in my GS cluster? that's what I need. It would be easier to just swap the assembly, since the Type R RPM is different.. I might forget I redline at 6200 haha.

Anyone?

My current cluster reads 230 top speed. This new one reads 190. Putting the assembly in my cluster would show the wrong speed would it not? Or does the ECU control the speed, and putting the assembly from the 190top into my 230top cluster read properly? if that makes sense.
