Why does everybody sell the Integra GS-R model for so much?

Because it is a highly desired car.

Blue book prices do not control everything. Its a supply and demand thing. People want this car, and theres only so many nice ones out there.

Do you think anyone would sell it for those posted prices?

Read the disclaimer. Something to the effect that KBB doesn't determine the prices, they just try to reflect them. Local conditions will effect the price. KBB drastically under estimates all Honda and Acura prices. Especially Si's and GSR's. It's a serious point of contention between the insurance companies and any of us that have had to deal with them.

Finding a clean, unmolested GSR is pretty difficult. I found one untouched by ricer hands... turns out it has been neglected. But it's in good hands now.

Try finding an original 92 or 93 GSR! They all have B16s in them now.

http://www.kellybluebook.com - $2,660 - $3,000
http://www.automotive.com - $3,150 - $3,275
http://www.nadaguides.com - $3,200 - $4,000
http://www.edmunds.com - $2.150 - $3,000

So if these websites are the most trusted Used Car pricing sites on the net, how come people are selling this stock car (1994-1998 Acura Integra GS-R) on Craigslist for way more then the websites say it is worth?
I'd be willing to pay well over $4k for a GSR with decent miles that is completely stock and matches what they consider "excellent condition".
You pay to play.

thats right.
Because they can and WILL get more money then the estimated price, because people want them, I'd say the average price I've seen for a good clean gsr is around $6k where I live, and they're all usually bought the same day the add is put online

Well it's upsetting me becase I'm only 15, and getting a job later february, but when i get my license in late april I will DEFINITLY not have the 5k average to buy the GS-R. I see an Integra drive by and my lip starts to quiver!
9.50 an hour won't get me far..
