If it wasn't worth it, it wouldn't have been done so many times over. It's simply a different direction to go with your build. You should probably use the ECU that matches the engine, but keep in mind, there are most likely other ECU's that would work as well.
Next time don't title your threads so generically, if I was a mod, I'd change it.
