swap engine, or stay b18b & build?
after seriously considering selling my integra LS, I've decided to keep it. Just on the fence about what to do under the hood. GS-R swap? L/s/v? h22? stay b18b & build? Mostly building to ride the streets, barely at the track. Not to worried about price, more worried about Speed & Reliability, which pushes me away from lsv. Is there a better swap I should go for? would be looking to turbo in the near future, would a GS-R swap pushing 7-8psi be reliable for daily driving? any thoughts/comments appreciated!

Why don't you just rebuild the one you got?

^ you could also just boost the stock ls, depending on the turbo and setup you could make around 250whp reliably with a good tune, setup, and if your motor is still in good condition

Yeah, but if you don't tear it all apart you don't truly know its ready for boost. It may be lower miles but if you want reliability your gonna wanna see it all for yourself so you know it will be able to handle it. Ya kno?

I'm in the same position you are, but I have decided completely I'm keeping it B18b1, and going boost. I'm going to buy a B18 off craigslist or even pull one out of a yard when the time comes, build that motor for boost by doing a full fresh rebuild back to 0 miles, and add little parts here and there alongside with some OEM parts to keep cost down. That way I can still DD my teg as needed, then take a night or two and swap the motors (full machine shop and garage to do work in with guys that know what their doing) then take another night or two, get the turbo in and done, then trailer it to a dyno and im done. Thats the most reasonable 1 car DD way I can possibly think to do this. now if you can pick up a 1000$ or cheaper beater, this would make your life allot easier and cheaper in the long run on the Teg build. I've seen boosted on 10lb's Integra's with the B18B1 LS motor make some awesome power.
You also have to take into consideration, Saying your going to get 230bhp from 10lb's is unrealistic. If I have my motor hooked up for this process, with a decent compression ratio, yet still safe for the 10lb's, and you build your motor with lower compression, cheaper/less power adders in the motor, and our tunes are different, we will make different power. There are a million and one factors that all change this variable, big ones being size of turbo/intercooler setup, exhaust setup, and your tune.
Disclaimer: I'm by no means a mechanic, nor a really knowledgeable person about this kinda thing, I'm learning just like the rest of us, by upon my findings over the 2 years of having the car, researching and trying to figure out how this s*** works, this is what I've found. If someone thinks I'm wrong, please just explain why so I don't screw up the OP, and I fix what I know.

I've said it a million times and I'll say it again. A good tune is the most important factor in making a motor run well and reliably. The stock B18b1 bottom end is easily good for 250whp with a solid tune.
Also, mileage can be an arbitrary factor sometimes. What kind of condition the motor is truly in is what's important. Do a basic tune-up. Do compression and leakdown test. Are there any oil leaks? How old is the timing belt, water pump, etc. A basic rebuild is definitely a good idea if you wanna boost.
For example I've seen an Integra with 190K on the clock and the original motor is pretty healthy. On the other hand, my motor only has 145,xxx on it but has seen constant track and touge abuse for years, so it's totally FUBAR lol.
