Ys1 tranny

On my way to work tonight I looked at my tach and it. said in between 34 and 3500. I do have 17s with a 45 series tire if that could account for anything. And this tranny is in a 97 ls and it. is shorter than my old numbers matching ls tranny. Idk but I paid 900 for him to put the gears in a hydro case and remove and install it.

And my buddies ls da doesnt rev as high as this one. Idk I get what yall are saying and I even looked everything up to verify. Is there a possibility that some stuff was changed, maybe the differential was changed out to make it. a little longer?

Well, I was able to verify for you, that my 90-91 ls trans, in 5th @60mph is at 3100-3200 depending on load. It shares the same 4.4 fd as the b16's, just longer actual gears. so if you're not at at least 3700 in 5th @60mph, I'd go back and throw a 4yr old styled tantrum. I'm talking the throw s*** every where, sit on the ground and pout, yell high pitched, say you don't love him anymore, s*** your pants styled tantrum. It worked for my brother when he was 4, you're an adult, you've had time to perfect it, and your s***s stink worse. It'll work, I promise.

Or just ask for an explanation and/or your money back like a respectable adult. But if all else fails, remember what I said, tantrums work.

Brokentalon, you are right. It. is a jdm b16 not the b17 I misposted. But as far as an ls running that in fifth I disagree. My old ls tranny was 2700 in fifth. This this is about 600 rpms different give or take a few per gear. The final drive idk. When hes told me about the tranny hes said shorter final drive. Idknt if hes meant it. was shorter than the ls or if it. was something hes tweaked himself.

You need to get some money back on that thing. It sounds like he sold you an LS gear set.

I know at 90 mph I'm around 4,500 and I think 80 is close to 4
