Default Ls/Vtec, is this proper?

I've read several articles on why Ls/Vtec is a truly bad idea, so I'm jotting down my plans, and would like your guys' opinions on whether it's a good idea or not.

LS Bottom end and transmission.
Bottom end:
ACL Race bearings.
Hone&Deck the block.
High comp pistons.
Then deck the head.
GSR or Type-r head.

Will this bottom end be able to hold the vtec and be reliable?

and should I throw a gsr tranny in it as well?
My plans for the engine, right now, is daily driver with the intent of adding boost in 7+ months.

Thank you all.

Building a reliable lsv would cost almost the same as turbo kit and push 10 psi and get almost same hp

I'd have to go through and rebuild EVERYTHING in my engine. I'm pushing 241k miles, and I can tell its had enough.
I don't dog the hell out of my car, but every couple weeks I like to have my fun.

If I were to get a gsr tranny and boost the stock ls after its rebuilt, would it be better?
Obviously it'd have shorter gearing.

I myself could barely notice a difference when I drove my ls turbo with ls tranny on 10psi & when I dorve my cousins b20turbo gsr tranny same turbo 10psi

But yes rebuild ls + boosted is the way to go.

If you are getting high compression pistons be careful how much you take off the head and block. Ain't gonna be very reliable if u can't run pump gas haha. Sounds like a good start for the most part though....

How much would I be looking at, hosepower wise with the turbo you're referring to havok, or anyone else if you know; pushing 8-10 lbs of boost on a stock ls?
Rebuilt to handle boost. and what all would I need to go through, partswise?

Not trying to be a jacker here but when you refer to "chipped p75" your referring to what exactly. That's the first time I heard that
