Can't decided which to use between 2.5" or 3" custom exhaust pipping? if I go 3" for stock b18b1, would I run into any problem? I'll appreciated for all the advise!

The one from my 96 teggy b18b1 was in pretty bad condition, I'm in the market for a new one, was wondering do I have to get the exact same year or it doesn't matter?
