so my 3rd gear started grinding a little only when i shift up and rpms are over 2k... when i down shift into 3rd it shifts normal. i try skipping 3rd and and letting rpms drop and lightly shifting into 3rd i just bought the car and i dont feel have funds to replace the transmission i could get it rebuilt for a discount but thats the last resort i read to use syncromesh and im gonna go get some of that... basicly wondering if skipping and taking it easy on 3rd gear would make it last longer with the syncromesh. sorry my car is a 90 integra ls. thanks
