Depends on if it's jdm though; some of the jdm B20Bs had 9.6 I think? I might be wrong

not sure of the ratio. but it is a b20b. b20z's only came in american crv's if i am not mistaken. im not looking to do anything crazy. all i really have planned is header, manifold, and maybe a vtec head. if i do start doing any internals it wont be for a while. im not looking to get crazy power out of it just yet since its my daily, the less problems the better

and for whom ever asked about the intake, its been on my car since i got it 3 years ago, i never got a new oen. it used to be an iceman cold air, but we couldnt find a filter to fit the cold air part, so we improvised :)

the B20Z is so Effing rare. I'm pretty sure that the JDM B20B's are the higher 9.6 compression.

Hmm, I'm just curious of the intake lol

the b20z's are the higher compression ones. they are the ones that are truely the best for all motor if you go that direction. mines good but it doesnt have as high a compression i dont thing.

hey nothing swrong with the intake, as long as it sucks air! thats all that matters lol.

You are absolutely right. All JDM B20's are higher compression with the exception of the 96-98 Honda SM-X and the '96-98 CRV.

All 99-00 B20's have a knock sensor, regardless of where it comes from, which signifies the high compression 9.6:1 motor. If your B20 does NOT have a knock sensor, it is not the 9.6:1 compression motor.

Good Information here! <click>
USDM:
96-98 Honda CRV
126 HP, 133 ft/lbs TQ
compression: 8.8:1

99-00 Honda CRV
146 HP, 133 Ft/lbs TQ
compression: 9.6:1

JDM (taken from Japan's Honda website):
96-98 Honda Orthia

99-00 Honda CRV

i believe mine is a 9:2:1 dont quote me on that, but the distributor that i got it from only sells imported engines from japan. but like i said. im not sure. it still runs and pull great though.
