My '90 b18 is seriously polluting the atmosphere and has probably melted several icebergs all by itself. Love the car but need new engine. B20 probably best choice but want vtec and someone suggested JDM H22 or H23 from Honda Prelude. Is it possible?
Thanks,
G

No fucks given.
It's been done before, but you'd most likely end up spending less on the B20. To answer your question though, they make mounts for the motor and the H2B kit, which allows you to use your B-series trans. with an H-series engine. And you'd still have to figure out wiring.

H2B kit: http://www.jhpusa.com/store/pc/viewPrd.asp?idproduct=4303

Look around, you can probably find them cheaper. That's just to give you an idea.

x2 it is possible. it has been done.

youre best bet is to go b20, its cheaper and if you want vtec, go lsv/b20v.

Yea I'm in doing the h22a red top swap in my 92 GS right now. It's a pain in the ass in kinda regret it because I'm in it 5 k honestly. Had to get new wiring harness, mounts, custom axles n a lot more. It's in the shop right now getting the half shaft or mid shaft cut 1n a half inches because I got ATTS connected to the tran. Wanted LSD too but couldn't get one. My homie told me his old 92 h22 American version with the f22 tran dipped quick so my 2000 better get it.

B18

So, what's wrong with rebuilding the B18? You can do a decent B18 rebuild, it won't be racing quality, but still a sweet DD. It might set you back a couple G's, maybe 4 even. But comeon, nothings wrong with the B18, is there? :???:
