Check Engine help plz

hey i have a dc4 and a couple weeks ago my check engine light came on its a 95 so no simple machine to plug in but i have noticed everytime the light comes on my idle goes up to around 1500 any one have any ideas?

What is the code? You should I pulled the code off the OBD Scanner.

i havnt hooked it up to a scanner partially because its a 95.... but like i said i have noticed that the idle does go up then the light comes on

I Have A 1996 Acura Integra Its Was Start And Take Out One Of The Plug Wire And The Car Shut Off And Put The Plug Wire Inside It Correct Place And It Could Not Start But It Turning Over

What is the code? You should I pulled the code off the OBD Scanner.

OBD1 integras (94-95, and prior) cannot plug into OBD2 scanners. We have a near little plug under the passenger side kick panel. We put a peice of metal (such as a paper clip) to jump the connection and get the code to flash.

ok the light flashed 6 times and i read the codes and that means coolant temp... i was told it could be the sensor and other possibilities?

its the coolant temp sensor

always make sure you are reading the right codes! long flashes are 10's quick flashes are 1's
