Civic motor swap...

I have a 96 integra SE.. i found a great deal on a 01 honda civic vtec motor.. i was wondering if it will fit? and if so do i need to change the transmission..

Yes and if you want too you could change the tranny or you could stick with the s80.

I can't think an engine that came out of any Civic that would be worth swapping into a 94-01 Integra other than a K20Z3 from the newer Si

if it is the d17 motor then no it will not just bolt in nor will your transmission work

if you are talking bout the k series motor it will fit but you will need lots of parts to get it to work right in your car and your trans will not work with it
