I recently purchased my 1990 integra and they "said" it had a newer clutch and just needed to b adjusted. It slips a little when I only rip through the gears but other then tht it shifts descent. Seems a little stuff until the car warms up. Any thoughts?? Thanks Adam

i believe on the older integs, you gotta adjust the clutch cable.

or the previous owner lied about changing the clutch to sell it because he/she didnt want to put any more money into it.

You want to adjust it so that the arm has slight tension on it. It should move as soon as you push the peddle in. It usually helps to have someone to help you.

I assume that they lied about it needing adjusted. If it just needed adjusted chances are they would have done it. It takes thirty seconds. I'd go with Coy's idea, they probably didn't want to put money into it.

The clutch cable goes across the engine bay, and attached to an arm on the front of the transmission. It has a plastic nut kind of thing on it that you turn to adjust. (Clockwise tightens it.)
