Diff in single and double beam HID kits?!?!

dual beam talkks about not sacrificing high beams after install can someone just clear up what the difference is for me?

do you own a 3rd gen with the round head lights? you wont have to worry about it.

since regular halogen high/low beams are dual filament, the low beam filament sits further forward than the high beam.
the 'dual beam' hid, the bulb sits forward in the low beam position. when you hit the high, theres a mechanism that retracts the bulb back to the high beam position.

ok so i dont need to invest in the dual beam then, i just need to worry about getting the single beam kit?
