Honda transmission compatable?

Hi all, I'm new and have a question... Will a honda transmission fit my '88 integra? someone who should know told my brother a civic trans. will fit, but thats all . Is this true, and if so what years ?

im not sure about this. i believe that a tranny from a d16 sohc civic should but i wouldnt swear by it. keep asking around man.

im pretty sure that as long as the tranny comes from the same family as the tranny it should bolt up.
b-b, k-k, d-d, etc.

i asked a buddy and he said if the tranny came out of a civic with a d16 in it, it will bolt up. the civics came with SOHC d16 until the mid or late 90's.
