Idle Problems and Oil Leak

its an 92 integra ls vtec. car starts up and idles at 3,000 and doesnt go down even when warm. the idle doesnt even drop when i put it in gear or drive it. i can pretty much drive it without even pressing the gas. im going to clean the IACV today but any other suggestions would be great. As for the oil leak its coming out on the distributor side and i heard that its kind of a common problem. would a gasket set fix that?

check for a sticking throttle cable and a vacum leak

the oil leak is more than likely going to be the cam seal behind the vtec solinoid, or from the dizzy "o" ring. check out threads regarding those two items. the high idle sounds like a vaccum leak somewhere, or ya need a tune up bad lol. g/l

alright well i just ordered a whole gasket set dizzy, vtech solenoid, valve cover and i got some sealant for the cam seal so hopefully that helps. but alright thanks for the help

i had the high idle problem on my saturn, and i solved it by replacing the IACV as well as the throttle position sensor. i would check both of those.
