Need help please!!

i have an acura integra 1994

my car wont start sometimes replaces cap n rotor distributor spark plug wires

battery is good.

but theres this one piece that connects to engine harness im guessin

it has 8 pins for this piece when i unplug it and plug it back my car starts again but sumtimes my car doesnt start and i repeat he process and it starts again does anyone kno what this is?

or could it be my wires?

perhaps replace that piece with a new one and see if that works? Im not an expert by any means but it just sounds like a connection problem.

Seriously on the battery, I had one placed in wrong and was creating an arc burning a hole in the fire wall and was causing my car to start and not start
