Okay so I have a 92 integra rs and I was wondering how would I know if its just the power steering belt I need to replace or the pump?

Let me make this simple for you!!! Is the belt turning the pulley when the car is running. If so its not your belt!!! Check fluid.Okay so I have a 92 integra rs and I was wondering how would I know if its just the power steering belt I need to replace or the pump?

Power steering pump leaks?
I recently had a problem with my power steering pump and decided to just rebuild it from a kit I got at Napa. It works great now, and saved me extra money I would have spent on a new unit.
Now for your problem. When the engine is running, does the belt rotate around the pulley for the pwr steering pump? If so, check the fluid. If ok, check the tension on the belt. It's not rocket science. It's easy.
