Shiny chrome under black trim? pics inside

So some of my trim is coming off and there's beautiful chrome underneath I'm curious to see if anyone knows if that chrome is all around or what,I'm scared to peel it off without knowing

i hate that chrome trim shit. looks tacky. it holds the rain guards against the door windows. you could peel those off if you want but itll make your window rattle a bit. i just cut off a little bit and plastidipped or electric taped it.
