Transmission Gasket & Seal

Hello all, according to my mechanic, he said my car needs to have the transmission gasket & seal replaced since it's leaking oil. I don't see any visible leaks, the car doesn't leave puddles or anything so I was wondering if he's trying to pull a fast one on me or if it's something I really should look into. Not really sure where to start on this one soo can anyone lend a helping hand?

If your still around picture would deff help. Axle seals yea. Its very very rare to see the transmission case seal req replacement. Is this for a auto or 5spd trans.

If the car doesn't have a noticeable leak then is it really a problem? Move on.
