Whenever i go out to start my car, I will turn the key to crank it and it will just click, my lights will dim, but it wont crank over. Then ill try it again 2 seconds later, and it will start up. Its a recurring problem and sometimes i will have to sit there for 5 minutes until it decides to crank. Any thoughts?

If you hear a clicking noise im sure its the battery.

So your engine cranks but wont start?

Check for spark.
Listen for the fuel pump to kick on?

I don't know what else im missing. Someone correct me.

Edit: Next time pick something else besides saying HELP?!

:thumbs up

Hope i helped.

The battery sounds like your problem. It could be as simple as cleaning off your battery cables though.

Let it run for a good while after it starts. Your alternator should charge the battery. If it keeps not starting, get your battery tested then your alternator

The battery could be bad. My blazer needs to be jump-started if I don't drive it for a few days but the alternator charges it up lol.
