I have 2 B18B1 blocks. They are not the same. The one in the car has extra holes and this part i can’t seem to identify. The other doesn’t have it and neither is the original block to the car.

what is this black can that seems to connect the crank case to something else?

The black can connecting the crankcase to something else on your B18B1 block is likely a crankcase ventilation system component, such as a PCV (Positive Crankcase Ventilation) valve or part of its system. It's designed to recirculate crankcase gases back into the intake manifold for combustion, reducing emissions and preventing pressure buildup in the crankcase. Differences between blocks could be due to variations in model years or specific vehicle applications.
