92 GS motor swap

I know this question's been asked a million times but I'm relativly new to imports so here goes.I have a 92 GS and it smokes badly,is a GSR swap pretty straight forward to do?Do I need the axles,ECU,and other things or is it a direct bolt in to my tranny etc?Going to have a local shop do it.

everything should be a direct bolt in including the ecu as long as it is obd1, only thing you'd need to do is wire up your vtec. But it is strongly recommended to get a shorter geared transmission because the LS trans will ruin acceleration

Someone told me a B18B with a VTEC head would seriously get some is this true?

it would, but it would take a little more effort than swaping in a gsr, you'd need arp headstuds, rodbolts (not mandatory), golden eagle lsvtec kit, etc. Theres alot of writeups on ls vtec. B16 or Gsr trans would be good enough, anything but ls, hahaha
