It's pretty stiff. You could sleep back there but it adds a lot of extra weight though.

i made it. there is an article on it somewhere.. they do make kits like this for our cars but thatll put you out about 300.

Home Depot sells 1/2" plexi-glass. I bought a 4'x4' piece, cut it so the same size as the cardboard piece, then riveted it to the carpet. Light, cheap, and strong.
