Gen 1 '89 Teg. Random misfires at idle & running.

Only 115k orig miles - car runs like new. The misfire began a couple weeks after rotor & plugs replacement. Have replaced rotor, cap, coil, plugs, wires, & ignition module. The Only thing left ignition-wise is the pickup harness. I notice the harness has a condenser-looking cylinder mounted on top of the dist. Is it a condenser? It doesn't seem individually replaceable as it is connected to a harness. How likely is this the cause of the random misfires. It doesn't misfire when cold, only after it warms up. It sounds like it wants to stall but it runs ok after the misfire. It repeats every few minutes - not constant. I want to rule out ignition-related before tacking fuel issues. I read somewhere a cracked spark plug can cause this condition. Suggestions welcome.
Thanks!

Have you checked the timing?
