i just used the same sealent that was on them when i opened, just reheated and pushed back together, no issues

Not that I know of but it will be more separable, The oem stuff is extremely tacky.

I can stick the lenses to the ceiling when they're cold, lol, Once it cools off it's pretty much stuck there.

It's been a while since I did my retro and many car washes. And no issue.
Yeah the oem stuff wants to stick to anything even when not hot. Shit was cold and I stuck the two pieces together and it wanted to stay.

Using silicone is a terrible idea and I prefer to stay away from it. Reusing the oem is perfectly fine as long as it gets a good seal. If not then use some aftermarket butyl.

No I still have plans for early evening and your lights need a window of at least a few hours though I expect less actual time without any shield work. Still have to have time allotted just in case. You aren't by chance off tomorrow?
