Name of Shifter: Fast Line Performance Shifter
Name of Shift Knob: Spoon Sports Duracon
Cost: $200 for the shifter, $60 for the knob
Year/Model/Transmission: 1996 Acura Integra with GSR LSD transmission
Your Impression: Takes a bit of getting used to the placement of the knob. I like how different shift knobs give it a different feeling. If you use a super light knob or no knob at all, it feels really notchy, and if you use a heavy one like a Circuit Hero, it feels numb. I found the Spoon Sports knob gives it that happy medium. You know when youre in gear, but its not too notchy., It feels like driving an NA or NC Miata.
Pros: You can adjust how close the dual bend goes to you. Some people have it super close to their steering wheel. The top element of it is on a swivel and secured by a set screw,.
Cons: You have to modifty your shift boot for it to work, also the paint sucks. Powder coat it first.
Overall Rating: (1-5) 1=sucks ass 5=FTMFW! 4.5 because i didnt powder coat mine first.
UPDATED 2/13/15
After using this shifter for about a year, i have different feelings on it.
Your Impression: It feels good at first, but the more you use it the more you hate it. Its okay for street driving, on track it sucks.
Pros: You can adjust how close the dual bend goes to you. Some people have it super close to their steering wheel. The top element of it is on a swivel and secured by a set screw,. It feels more ergonomic than stock, but thats about it.
Cons: You have to modifty your shift boot for it to work, you have to keep it oiled (like once a year with WD40 to prevent rust). It grinds into gears, and ive missed so many shifts using it.
Overall Rating: (1-5) 1=sucks ass 5=FTMFW! 4.5 because i didnt powder coat mine first.
