Smog check

Hello,

My brothers 94 integra recently failed smog check. They said it was because he had bosch spark plugs instead of ngk. Is that true??

if you have the wrong type of spark plugs it can cause it to fail

Lol...you'd be better off telling us what variable failed on the sniffer test & than we may be able to give you some insight as to the cause.

Maybe it's possible with a different heat range on the plugs? but brand name wouldn't matter in the visual part of the smog test. The 5 gas readings would be more helpful.

mine failed as well, all that failed though was the O2 was way above except able, so im not sure what could have caused it since they wouldnt even suggest anything to me.
