With a b16 can you mount the turbo with the hot side on the driver side of the car?

Depends on the manifold .

the hot side of what? the inter cooler piping? or the turbine hosing of the turbo?

on a 4 bolt pattern manifold you can mount the turbo either way, most people have the compressor housing facing the drivers side though.

Hey i have a stock b18b1 i want to boost it and not sure what turbo to buy for the money i want a good tune on it. And also how much psi can i make on a stock ls ? With out destroying my internals. Id appreciate it if you guys could steer me in the right direction thanx

Buy a t3t4 turbo & it all depends on how healthy your motor is .
