X2I think he means the running light in the taillight doesn't work. :what: In that case, check the bulbs. Since they're dual filament bulbs, one of the filaments could have burnt out causing the brake portion to work and the running side to die.
It just happened to me last week on the passenger side. Brake light didn't work, running light did. Took the bulb out, half of it was black.
yeah man the corner front lights wont work nor my side markers which results in my running lights/stand by lights wont work.my bulbs on the brake lights work just fine.its weird.ive tried everything.can you help me out"???I think he means the running light in the taillight doesn't work. :what: In that case, check the bulbs. Yes i checked all the fuses and put in new ones plus bulbs.idk whats going on.i dont wnt to have to take it to a specialist, and pay for something that might have been a minor fixSooo none of your running lights work is what you are saying. Did you look at the fuse or put in a new one? Sometimes they are broken on the sides.
i think that's what happen I tried to replace the fuse with a different one.a 20 fuse I think it was..but even before that I would put in a 10 fuse and it would either automatically pop it or it would work for a bit.after I put that 20 fuse in it just stopped working completelyAre your bulb sockets loose Or corroded?
Take some alcohol based cleaner to it and use a wire brush.
Before bulbs should be installed lightly use bulb grease to prevent future corrosion.
Take a pair of pliers to the metal socket and give both ends a slight squeeze to tighten the socket back up for better connections.
If its not a fuse, bulb, or connection issue its a bad ground.
Check that wires are not frayed or torn.
Always replace fuses with the correct amps or wire fires can occur.
no.this has been an issue with the car for awhile now.i got let off with a warning by a police officer because of this..could have been worseLets back track. When did this happen? Were you working/washing car before and then it stopped working?
Where exactly would the ground be tho man?Check the grounds. If the contact point has any corrosion it could cause a weak contact.
