is 210 bhp a lot for an all motor setup? How can bhp be compared to hp or whp? Could someone explain because im kinda confused with the whole break horse power thing
Its not transmission loss, its drivetrain loss. Its the power lost by getting the axles and wheels spinning. A motor will always produce more when it doesnt have to move anything, but thats what its meant to do.BHP is always higher than the WHP because of power losses through the transmission. Fundamentally there should be no losses in the transmission, but there is, and its like 30-50 horse power =.=
if its a new engine on paper it should be around 197 bhp, 180 whphow much bhp and whp does a 99 b18c spec r engine have?
Drivetrain loss is a percentage, not a strait number like that. For a motor that makes around 200bhp, 30-50hp sounds more like AWD than FWD...more things to turn over=more drive train loss.BHP (brake horse power) is measured at the crank of the engine and HP a.k.a. WHP (wheel horse power) is measured at the wheels. BHP is always higher than the WHP because of power losses through the transmission. Fundamentally there should be no losses in the transmission, but there is, and its like 30-50 horse power =.=
And 210 is pretty good IMO for a B-series engine, but the Honda prelude gets 210 BHP stock but it has a H-series engine, 2.2 liter and higher compression
