Wouldnt be a bad idea to do a ls/vtec ....but if not done rite it could cause nothing but problems for you in the long run. Your still gonna have to do some internal work with the bottom end, sure the vtec head makes more power up top and can rev high but your bottom end wasnt designed for...

If reliability and power are important to you then consider first uprgading your motor for a forced induction application. This means do a rebuild but with aftermarket parts that are made to handle the high revs and high boost, like, FI Pistons, Rods, Bearings, Balanced Crank, Headwork, etc...

I have a few things in mind, I invision a full coilover system, cf hood, interior redone, Type 1R header, paint redone, and a b16 tranny w/lsd. Those are just some of the things I can think of off hand but something always comes up.
