No frame damage and your alive? Your pretty lucky man. Its gonna suck getting the repairs but it could defiantly have been worse.

I know this is usually regarded as a big no-no, but it worked for me. About a year ago mine was doing the same thing so I just replaced it with a larger sized fuse and it's been fine ever since.
