1999 LS/vtec

Hey I have a b18b1 but i've been reading up on the engine and i keep finding that that engine doesn't come with a vtec head but mine has one for some reason, I don't know if the guy I bought it from changed heads but just wanna know if what im reading is true or if he did do a head swap. I have a cold air intake and a cat-back exhaust system in there and also would like to know what the power output is now at thanks

Well it sounds like someone did a ls/vtec swap on ur LS. Its getting more and more common. If you post a picture of the motor we could confirm that. Valve covers are different, also in the intake is different among some other things.

that would depend on your tune...just go up till it taps or take it to 7800

thats a b16 head judging by the intake manifold.
