87 teg steering issues

My 87 is leaking power steerinf fluid and seems to be a little loose in the front. Are these related and what could be the cause.

you could be leaking from the hose cause it is an 87 and they hoses tend to crack as the car gets older...my advise would be to take off the old hose and go to the auto parts store and get a new one...you dont have to get a new one as long as the old one is...they make the so long so it can cool down but as a cheep fix just replace with a hose that is 2 or 3 feet long. see if that helps
