ok so a week ago my radio started acting up on me.
My set up is a alpine deck forgot which model.
with 1000 watt infinite amp wired with 4 alpine 6x9z in the back.

Question is why does my radio keep dying when i turn it up to volume 24????
It turns off and then turns back on.
Could there be a shortage somewhere??

really need help on this as i am not an expert with wiring beat.

this only happens when i turn up the volume to like 24 or higher it shuts off and turns back on.

you are maxing out your amp and its shutting off to protect its self. my amp used to due that before i added another 1000w amp for my subs.

I think he's saying the radio itself shuts off, not that the music just suddenly stops.

It could be a bad ground for the radio.

oh then yeah its probably a bad ground. either that or your REM wire has a bad connection. did you hard wire or use an adapter?

It is solely a problem with his headunit as far as I am understanding his original post. A poorly connected REM wire shouldnt make your headunit turn off, just the amps. A bad ground with too much resistence could be a problem as already stated. Or i guess an internal problem with the headunit, thats always a possibiltiy i suppose.

my premier did that but i sold it... but all i needed to do was wiggle the faceplate and it came back on.
