A friend of mine said that my alternator pulley bearing could be shot causing it to whistle. It gradually gets louder with the throttle. Can I replace the bearing myself or will I need a new alternator>
A) are you sure it's the alt making the noise?
B) kinda doesn't matter if it's an alt, ps pump, etc...because if it's a bearing you can't replace it...new part time.
C) make sure you pinpoint the sound...
Yeah I'm pretty sure. I thought it.was intake at first but no cigar. So you're saying.ill need a new alternator all together? And could I slip,the belt off to test?
