Antenna Mast Problems

Hi, I have a 94 Acura Integra LS. The antenna motor works fine. The mast broke and I've tried 2 new masts, but netiher works because the metal piece in the middle does not fit into the existing metal hole of the vehicle antenna. Does anyone know what I'm doing wrong or have any suggestions? I'm attaching pictures. First pic is the new mast. I have a picture of the actual end part of the vehicle part where this goes into, but can't figure out how to load it since it's on my desktop. The attach file only accepts URL's or Emails. (Is there another type of antenna to use w/the existing motor?) Thx in advance.

id get a stationary antenna. something from a honda s2000. the teeth and the motor tend to get messed up over time anyways.

since the radio doesnt play much good music anymore, i just took mine out and plugged the hole. i now listen to pandora from my iphone :thumbs up
