Anyone tell me what this noise!?!

Okay here is my 96 Integra LS.When I bought it it didn't run.There was no distributor. .After installing the distributor and starting the car up a couple of times noticed this ugly noise from the right side of the motor like where the belts are. anyone knoww what it is?? :x

My car made that same *uckin noise when i got my belts replaced, mechanic told me they didn't tighten the alternator belt enough. it was coming from the same spot too, ... so yea maybe your alternator belt is going?

Yeah, Maybe. .Somebody had told me that maybe it wasn't like tight enough. .like no tension?
And do you know around how much it would be to replace and fix the belt?

no i got it done with my timing belt and water pump, so they didn't charge me to tighten it. i'm really not the person to ask sorry man.

just tighten the belt and it should go away as long as the belt is in good condition

you can tighten you belt by moving your alternator. just unbolt it and add tension and bolt back tight

Wow that's loud!!! just yesterday my accord did the same thing... tightening the belt solved my problem
