Hello,
Found a 123k mile junk yard B18A1 and man. trans for my 320k mile Integra RS (just stock).
Ordered parts and the master gasket set that came was by APEX Seals. Seamed fine by me at the time.
On the plus side, it came with a single layer and a three layer intake manifold gasket and an exhaust cam end plug / valve cover seal. The last FelPro set I got had no plug/seal and only the single layer int.man. gasket.
HOWEVER, the 3 layer intake manifold gasket would not make a seal. Installed the single layer gasket and car started instantly and runs flawlessly.
Then, six months after rebuild, oil running out past the exhaust cam end plug / valve cover seal thingy. It had shrunk enough to slop back and forth in the hole almost 1/16".
And, the spark plugs were covered with a pool of oil. All four of the little ring shape seals that fit between the valve cover and head were leaking. The seals were more than a 1/16" smaller than a FelPro part and the rubber had become stiff.
