I have a 97 DC4 and it's a auto. Well long story short auto died. My local junkyard has two tegs there with manuals in them. One of the trans has a different VIN tag on it and comes up as a 96 LS Special Edition. The other Trans has no VIN tag on it & it's a 4 door. The guy says he will sell me either trans with everything to convert it over for $650. Any suggestions or Advise would be appreciated.
The LS Trans / Car is caved in on Driver Side and real Dirty in engine bay. Car has 140k on odom.
The No VIN Sedan is Clean in engine bay. Has 204k on odom. and shifts like butter.
I have my concerns about both, but I need my teg running ASAP.
