back window defroster

My back window is not defrosting when my defrost button has been pressed.
I am thinking the line on the window had burn out or either the wires from the
button had been cut or something but im not sure. can there be another reason
why? if there is what can be the best solution..

i think it could be as simple as a fuse......check your fuse box
