i juss recently installed stage 2 clutch with light weight flywheel on my 1990 gs

all the bearings came in the kit and were replaced
a couple days ago i noticed a high pitched grinding noise coming from my tranny

i can only hear it when im in neautral and goes away whenever i press the cluth
but always seems to come back once i let go

...sounds like a throwout bearing to me
anybody ever had similar problems????
is it safe to drive on it????

yes.. all the bearings that come in the aftermarket kits are JUNK... You should replace it with a SKF or HONDA bearing..

safe to drive yes (99% of the time), they just make noise and get annoying.

i have the same problem, hasnt hurt drivability but gives the pedal a sticky feeling engaging and dissengaging. like spooledupracing said, use a good quality part or factory spec is always a safe bet.
