What ever you chose, please give the sub enough room.
I see people with huge subs in a tiny enclosure and I'm just in face palm mode.
Ported and bandpass boxes are designed more for a specific note or range, so the tend to not sound too good if you have a various music range. One genre would sound SWEET and when you switch, you're like 'WTF? This is terrible.'
So I would recommend a sealed box, but the proper size box for a single 15 is going to be huge. Notice I said proper.
Read the box specification for the speaker you're going to get and make it that size.
